Wailea News and Blog Updates
Wailea, Maui has some of the world’s finest hotels – each of which proudly offers unique and luxurious spa experiences. This year, the Andaz Maui’s ‘Āwili Spa and Salon was voted the number one hotel spa in the “10Best Readers’ Choice Awards” at USA TODAY.
I am incredibly proud of our spa to receive the No. 1 hotel spa award among so many well-respected resorts and hotel brands in the nation. It comes as no surprise because I can say with confidence that this award reflects our team’s continued dedication to deliver the best in wellness and service – from using local ingredients to offering an unforgettable experience where each guest leaves with a profound sense of relaxation and the spirit of aloha. ~ Michael Jokovich, general manager of Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort

Here at Wailea Resort Association, we love being a world-class host to professional meetings and events! Many of the same things that make Maui a beautiful and diverse tourist destination also contribute to productive and inspirational business and educational events. Getting away from the office is proven to increase many business metrics, from problem-solving to stress reduction. It also sets the stage for having a record-setting event — many find it easy to accept an invitation to Maui!
In June, the Incentive Research Foundation (IRF) hosted its 24th Annual Education Invitational, at Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort, in Maui, Hawaii. Here’s the summary from the Grand Wailea press release:

Here on Maui, we’re used to hearing about the farm to table movement: fresh food grown here and served here. Kristen Braswell of CrushGlobal Travel adds fitness to the mix in her new article in Huffington Post. She’s written an extensive post on the many leisure and dining activities and Wailea is prominently featured! There are many mouth-watering photos that accompany the article.
Begin on Maui’s desired Wailea Coast, where everyone from Oprah to honeymooners revel on this sun-kissed south shore. Get in a beachfront workout with Kiakahi Fitness, which implements functional training inspired by traditional Hawaiian and Polynesian methodologies. It is a memorable workout of breathing and cardio, made even more lasting by the views of the Pacific Ocean just seconds away. For joggers, the Wailea coast’s paved path circles around five stunning beaches and offers views of four islands: West Maui, Lanai, Kahoolawe and Molokini. Between December and May, you may just get a glimpse of humpback whales breaching in the turquoise waters.
