Complimentary family-friendly performance is brought to Maui locals and guests by Iconic Au’s Shaolin Arts Society and Hilton Grand Vacations
Wailea, Maui, Hawaii (January 28, 2025) – The Shops at Wailea, Maui’s premier destination for cultural experiences and live entertainment, invites guests to celebrate the Lunar New Year on Thursday, February 6, with a mesmerizing performance by Oahu’s renowned Au’s Shaolin Arts Society. Sponsored by Hilton Grand Vacations, this complimentary, family-friendly event will feature a captivating lion dance, martial arts demonstration, and the traditional “feeding of the lions,” from 2:30-4pm at the Lower Level Performance Area.
In keeping with the timeless tradition of welcoming the Lunar New Year, guests can receive red envelopes, known as “lai see,” and are invited to make a voluntary donation to “feed the lion” as it dances gracefully through the Center. This symbolic gesture of presenting “lucky money” is believed to bring good fortune for the year ahead.
